Founded in 1974, Oklahoma County REACT Team is a group of dedicated volunteers who serve central Oklahoma with communications assistance and emergency response. During their 45+ years of existence, they have gained a reputation of getting the job done, whatever the circumstance may be.
REACTers have provided assistance during events as varied as the Murrah Building bombing, the State Fair of Oklahoma, Presidential visits, weather spotting, major fires and floods, search and rescue, parades, and races, along with the daily assistance to motorists in need of emergency help or information.
REACT provides assistance to many other community organizations, including Special Olympics, March of Dimes, Easter Seals, American Diabetes Association, Prevent Blindness, and many others.
What can REACT do for you?
TRAFFIC CONTROL - Certified by the American Traffic Safety Services Association, our members are trained in how to shut down a roadway and divert traffic.
PERIMETER CONTROL - Oklahoma County REACT is responsible for maintaining a safe perimeter during many fireworks shows and other events, ensuring public safety.
COMMUNICATIONS - Oklahoma County REACT operates a sophisticated UHF radio system. The team also has a custom built command trailer with external power and antennas for greater distances.
ALL REACT Members have EXTENSIVE TRAINING - Members of Oklahoma County REACT are required to undergo extensive training in various areas.
