REACT is a volunteer group made up of people from all walks of life. We are always looking for, and welcome, anyone who is interested in helping by performing public service activities.
The Board of Directors reviews all applications. There are certain requirements that must be met for membership to be granted. Applicants must be of good moral character. Because of the nature of REACT’s activities, applicants must agree to, and be able to pass, a background check of law enforcement agencies, employers and references. Also, new members must satisfactorily serve a six-month probationary period.
A dress code has been established for formal functions in which the Team participates. This includes a white shirt, with appropriate REACT identification insignia attached, black slacks and black shoes or boots. If a member desires to wear headgear, a REACT cap is mandatory. The REACT identification items are available from the Team Treasurer at a nominal cost. Clothing and footwear are the responsibility of the member.
Annual dues (at this time) are
1st member: $40 for Regular Members,
2nd member: $25 for Family Members or Junior Members
3rd member: $15 for the 3rd and each additional member from the same household.
These dues are established by, and go to REACT International, Inc. Our Team expenses and obligations are met by donations and through various fund raising activities.
Because Oklahoma County REACT is involved in several high interest events, an applicant must submit a copy of a current (not more than 60 days old) OSBI background investigation and a copy of a current Driving record along with their application.
OSBI is located at 6600 N. Harvey, Ste. 300, Oklahoma City, OK 73116-7912 phone: (405) 848-6724
Driver Records can be obtained at the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety, 3600 N. Martin Luther King Ave. Oklahoma City , OK 73136-0415 phone: (405) 425-2424
